1. The devil isn't in the movie. The demons in the film are hallucinations due to a drug he takes. The person Mark Wahlberg plays is Max Payne if that what you're asking.
2. None of the "supernatural" things shown in the trailer are real, neither is the world burning in that other scene. All of that stuff is either in Max Payne's dreams, or the hallucinations of a drug that plays a major part in the plot of the first game.
